I have been using 1Password for several years now, and can say that 1Password is the best application I have ever gotten from the App Store. I have it installed on a desktop, a laptop, and two iOS devices. Updates on any device are pushed out automatically to the other devices, so everything is always in sync. I have on the order of 150 login ID/password pairs, and they can all be as strong as allowed by the service they are for. The password generator function assures that the password generated is robust. The browser integration works well, to log into a site takes a simple selection from a pull-down menu, no cutting and pasting needed. The 1Password app for iOS devices is a great companion to the Mac version and is definitely worth getting.

This review is for the application with pro features purchased. This password manager app does it all. Need to generate passwords? With different sets of characters? Randomized? Of different lengths? Or specified as a custom password by you? This app does that. Need to organize your passwords with searchable tags? Create custom tags? Put password/logins in multiple tags? This app does that. This app has different organization sections for logins, server credentials (I store wifi passwords here too and it has icons to match), your own identity information like drivers license info, and even secure notes. The app has the ability to sync multiple vaults - a vault is an entire block of passwords protected under one master password. So if you want to share a few passwords with someone else but not all of them, make a new vault! The app also will notify you of logins that have passwords that are very old, giving you a nice organization of logins with 0-3months, 3-6months, 6-12months and so on of age of a password. Makes for a nice way to audit your entire digital life in one spot.

…I can sleep comfortably knowing my info is as secure as possible! Full disclosure, I have never even tried any of the other password protection apps in the App Store BUT I have never needed or wanted to try anything else. 1Password is awesome and would be a deal at 10 times the price. I put off getting this because I was weary of the price tag but after my laptop was stolen (and recovered thanks to Find My Mac!) in 2014, I gladly gave them my money and I haven’t looked back since! I can also store credit card numbers, registration numbers, sensitive legal documents and anything that I want to keep track of and remain private. Plus, since everything is stored in the cloud, I will always have access to my info even in a worst case scenario

Easy to use, complete, flexible and solid. I like the ability to add custom sections where I can, for example, securely store all the password hint questions and answers that websites now want. Works well with iOS apps. Wish I could use iCloud sync for multiple vaults, but the Dropbox sync works well enough. Updated regularly, although the “annual” upgrades do add up over time as they are paid. But the feature set is enhanced as well each time.

My passwords were laughably weak and the same for pretty much every account (otherwise I’d forget). After getting this app I can have differernt, strong passwords for each account and only have to remember one. This is an amazing app!

I’ve been using password manager apps for over 10 years (IT managers need to remember a lot of passwords). I’ve tried well over a dozen and except for 1Password, the word “painful” is the nicest thing I can say about them. But 1Password is definitely an exception and worth every cent. I particularly like their new family plans, which fixed a lot of the sharing issues.

Ah, the large type reveal is fabulous, I love the little details such as showing the length of the passwords and using color to differentiate numbers from letters. I cannot live without 1Password. It is the first app installed on all my devices. Absolutely essential.

It is a great password manager. It is always updated and works great across all my Apple devices. Highly recommended.

How do you remember all of your passwords? You don’t! You need a password manager like this where you can write everything down. I love the Secure Notes feature because I can store any private information and it’s always accessible wherever I am (with the iOS version of 1Password). The app is more polished and friendly than its competitors. A must have! I can’t imagine using a computer without 1Password.

1Password makes my passwords better and helps me learn about problems with the sites I use. And it’s still easier then remembering passwords.

I’ll cut right to it, this is a life changings app. I was taken hostage by a group of Libyans after my friend stole plutonium from them. Fortunatley I was able to log into my time traveling Delorean computer and go back in time to prevent the entire event from occurring. Well, like I said, this is an life changeing app. 5 stars from me and Doc Brown!

If youre not using a password manager, you really must start. If youre using a password manager, IMO, you should use 1Password. In a genre thats mostly immune to the reach of good UX, 1Password is a beacon in the night… it nearly makes good password hygiene enjoyable. BTW, when you start doing two-factor authentication, and you should be, 1Password can take the place of Google, Duo, etc. It does the exact same thing those apps do, so if you dont see 1Password suggested on your services site, its OK. Use 1Password to generate your numbers. Its great. I cant imagine going back to not having it. Also, I use their optional "Teams" subscription service at work, and its excellent. My co-workers love it. I admin it and its smart. Worth every penny.

It hadn’t even occurred to me to leave a review before now, because 1Password is practically invisible in my day-to-day. I use it all the time, but I almost never think about it, because it alwasy just works. No higher recommendation than that.

About a year ago, Last Password was hacked. I decided to try and use 1Password based on its reviews and cross platform compatiblily. The conversion between the two was seamless and easy to get started. During the year I have only a few minor issue with 1Password that was quickly resolved by the developers. The support is superb, and would find it difficult to ever go to an another password manager.

Secure, stable, fast, and cheap… this full featured password manager does it all. Now make a Linux version so I can give you more money!

1Password is an incredibly useful and well supported piece of software. They are constantly putting out significant updates and tweaks to an already great application. The only real option for a secure password manager on OS X.

This piece of software has become so indispensible that I really cannot live without it. I am occasionally pestering against the uncanny developers who choose non-standard ways of prompting users to enter their passwords MANUALLY. When will Apple developers realise that this very Apple Store and iTunes need to comply with existing standards and allow the usage of 1Password? I encourage other users to press Apple to recognize the existence of this new standard. Otherwise, it just forces users to use unsecure simple passwords that can be easily typed. I also appreciate prompt updates to 1Password to fix bugs, and the fact that once the app has been purchased we don’t get nasty requests to pay for upgrades, like so many big software companies do. With my deep gratitude for this time-saver!

1Password is an amazing app that the developers continue to add wonderful new features to. If you need support they are ‘always’ there and very prompt! I use 1Password on the Mac, iPad, and iPhone and have never been disappointed in it. 1Password is well worth every penny spent. My wife and I use the Family Sharing feature and we both have updated and synced passwords and other data entered into 1Password. I can’t even begin to tell you that if you are looking for a password manager app that you need not look any further because you have found it. I use 1Password to its fullest potential and let me say, “It is AMAZING!"

This is one of the best and most useful apps I’ve purchased. I was a victim of identity theft a couple of years ago, and at that time I moved from a Windows to Mac and was looking for something that worked flawlessly between my Mac, Iphone, and Ipad. 1Password was the answer I was looking for. I like having everything secured behind a single password, and It would be really cool if 1password could incorporate a secure daily journal into that same password vault. Keep up the Good work.

Its secure and easy to use. It syncs with my devices, makes backups and remembers all my passwords, bank account, logins, secure notes, etc. What else can I ask. Also the team its constantly improving the app now with touch ID. I have been using one password for the past 4 years and I love it.
