Wonderful

Either you are someone who uses simple passwords, forgets their passwords, or someone who uses the same password or variation of, on every site. If your email account is compramised expect that everything else is compramised too. A lock for your house costs real money and someone can just break a window, this is more secure, protecting your digital life. 1. Buy it for everything, expect to spend some money. Every device- sync for free a personally excrypted file using dropbox or iCloud. 2. Use it, spend extra seconds when entering a password the first time, to save you time over the long run. I use 1Password many times a day, I got my sister using it, and she uses it all the time. 1Password stores my insurance details, hundreds of logins username/passwords, and my bank transit number to name a few.

Must have

I had tried many secure information managers prior to 1Password, but this is the best. Can be used for a lot more than just passwords. The developer is very committed and responsive, and has paid fine attention to security, best I can tell. My data are encrypted on my device, and only I have the key. Top drawer. Update: flawless still. I am very surprised by the negative reviews. This is the most essential app on my devices. Has been a “lifesaver” (hyperbole but can’t think of a better word) many times. Like the time I forgot my wallet at a friend’s place in a strange city but had the details I needed for the bank downtown. Or the many times our kids text me asking for some detail of their lives (dad’s keep that kind of stuff for them). Never once had to contact customer service, which is a first for me with any other software app I’ve used for years.

My #1 treasured app.

THIS is my #1 most-treasured app. I have it on my Mac, iPad and iPhone (and watch!) and my passwords are NEVER not at arm’s reach.

Almost perfect. Want 2-factor authentication baked in!

I remember a time where I use to manually synchronize passwords for all my online accounts, and whenever one of them was compromised by some random attacks, I would cycle through all of them and hope I did not forget 1 of them. That is about the WORST thing one can do for his online identity safety, and I always convinced myself that it wasnt that bad… But as the year went on, my online identity continued to grow, and keeping in-sync and secure 30-35 online accounts took a while. However, in the days of 2-factor authentication, when would be really awesome is a 2-factor authenticator app-like feature built right in. Apart from that, we’re using something that is alsm

Worth every penny!

I absolutely LOVE it! … At first, I thought to myself, “What kind of sucker would pay so much for an app that does so little?” But after reading amazing reviews and asking a couple of questions on the company’s support forums and getting immediate answers (and having a $70 app store credit that I figured may as well be spent on something useful that I probably normally wouldn’t buy) I bought it and have nothing but great things to say about it and the company that made it! They helped me with a couple of small issues I had and without me begging too much, gave me a code so I could use it on my Windows based machine as well. As for the program itself, I’ve never felt more secure. I have 50 character passwords on most everything, all different and I don’t have to remember a single one of them! I no longer have Post-It notes with passwords stuck all over the wall (or on the floor behind the desk). I no longer fear that if someone gets access to my eBay account info, that they’ll be able to access my Facebook account. The vaults to put your credit card and other personal info in is a great added bonus! If you ever lose your wallet, all the info you need is right there at your fingertips, without having to search around in a panic, looking for numbers to cancel each credit card or other info stored. Buy it, you’ll love it too!!

the best!! UPDATE: NOT

update: after new update, after entering my password, the app constantly hangs. It happens within the app and within the browser extensions. at first i was ambivalent about using a wallet but after i saw its ease and great syncing i was sold. now i can access my passwords using any browser i want. key: super easy to access passwords from anywhere sync is seamless

Essential

This is the most important app on every device I use

Couldn’t operate without it

I use this app every single day, a million times a day. When you’re concerned with online security you end up with a list of user names and passwords at various stages of security and keeping them written down in a book defeats the purpose of keeping them secret. This app not only allows me to keep my complex passwords organized, but also to auto-fill web logins, keep secure notes, keep wallet items like blood donor info, prescription refill codes and membership card accessible and virtual… Plus it backs up on a shared drive that syncs with my phone so updates are always present on all my devices. The only password you need to remember is the master password to get in 1Password. I love this. I recommend it highly!

Still the best!

I’ve been using this app for years for password management, and it just keeps getting better. Easy to update and maintain passwords, online identities, secure notes and licenses. Like everything this isn’t a magical bullet! It requires maintenance just like anything else. Always check the passwords are correct by logging out and using the app the log back in directly. Once you do this the first time, you are as good as gold!

Not keeping up

There is a 2 star review on June 28 and I concur with what was said. Syncing is inconsistent. This is hugely problematic when you are moving betwen multiple devices and are in a time crunch (think business activities like transferring funds from one of multiple banks or bank accounts to a client who is minutes from losing everything and you can’t get emergency fiunding to them because the sync didn’t work and you are now in an airport somehwere). Having to explain to someone that, ‘yes, I do know what I am doing’ while you are madly trying to find some confirmation email you can go back to and try to either discover or reset your password. The helper that should be saving the new and amended logins doesn’t always do so and sometimes doesn’t pop up. The interface has seen numerous iterations of the same design and editing and organizing could be easier. Having locked in categories makes is also frustrating. Tags are a poor substitute for proper classifying when passwords et al are created. I’ve been a user since long before the app store arrived. My frustrations have grown in the last couple of years and 1P has a lot of competition. Maybe it’s time to look.

Absolutely the most crucial app I have.

Absolutely the most crucial app I have and is always the very first one installed on any of my devices. Can’t rate it highly enough. No worries of weak passwords, resusing them or losing them. Bar none, the best app for security I’ve ever seen or used. Syncs across all devices so I have access to all passwords anywhere I have my MacBook, iPhone, iPad or MacPro.

Best password security app! Period!

I use this app every single day. It lets me have a different super secure password for each login. The secure Notes section is great too!

Subscription?

Having been a longtime user of this app that I love and rely on, I’m suddenly concerned that I might have to subscribe for something Ive already paid for? Not “Excited" to be paying for yet another subscription.

Perfect and Secure

These so-called new CLOUD based password managers are absoulty unsafe! Same hacking happened to LastPass not too long agon could and will happen to all these vendors! The BEST option is LOCAL backup or iCloud (From Apple) who truly secure our data. IF you need to access your password data on multiple devices, then 1Password appears to be the ONLY one.

Stellar product

I don’t know how people manage without it. I feel better knowing that I can use secure passwords and will not worry about forgetting them/ resetting them. I manage passwords for my mother too - I’m her back up. If something happened to me, my husband will be able to look after my accounts and manage affairs. The company presents with integrity and provides excellent customer service. I recommend it to everyone.

great & Secure

This is a great App, Best Security App for maOS, IOS. and easy to use.

Most Important App I Use

As a more technical user I can safely say this is the most important app I use on all my Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac). I love it. I find it worth the high price. It can be confusing and overwhelming to less technical users however. I have watched some of my family members struggle to use it effectively; trying to enter credit cards and such in the iOS version of 1Password is painful due to the large number of fields. I manage all info from the OS X version, then simply use the info on iOS devices. I also find the “auto-magical” features to be more confusing than helpful; I prefer to enter everything manually.

Worth. Every. Penny.

If you’re not using a password manager (and it’s 2016, you have no excuse not to be), 1Password is the best. Hands down.

Fantastic

Great UI. Very reliable. Invaluable tool.

long time user tired of bugs that never get fixed

I have been a 1Password user for several years, since near the beginning, and I was a fan for a long time. Unfortunately, each year I have revised this review to be a little grumpier, because there are persistent quality problems with the app. Again and again, major releases are quality control train wrecks (like 6.5 for instance! sheesh!) . I’m out of patience: too many poor design decisions, too many obvious and reproducible bugs that never seem to get fixed. The problems are mostly fairly minor, but many are truly baffling for mothers, or any naive new user…and sometimes me too. For instance, sync especially has been a huge problem intermittently for years. For instance, after running fine for a while, sync just silently failed at some point and ran unsynced for a month before I noticed, producing serious fragmentation that took me a couple hours to repair, with plenty of head-scratching and eye rolling along the way. During repair, I was shocked to see sync configuration annoyances that are still there 2-3 years after I first noticed them. Really pretty terrible. (I know sync is infamously tricky, but I have plenty of apps that have synced more or less flawlessly for years now. I also have a great deal of experience configuring sync for other apps. 1Password is absolutely one of the jankiest I’ve seen.) I think 1Password in its current form is a particularly poor choice for new users. The first-run and configuration experience is just riddled with sloppiness. I used to go out of my way to recommend 1P to new users, but I just can’t do that anymore. Historically, this has been a great app, and there is still plenty to like about it. But not enough, and the persistent glitches have become seriously exasperating.
