1Password App Reviews

The Best!

I can’t say enough about this application. I trust it 100% and it keeps my passwords in order while helping me create secure unique passwords for all my accounts. It fills my credit card details, and stores other secure information for me such as passport numbers and ID information. The updates are also regular and they haven’t forced customers to pay for the newest version in quite a long time. Needless to say, the purchase has been worth it and the app is an essential use for my day to day life.

Great concept, but no faster many on bank and credit card sites unfortunately.

Secure, unguessable passwords is great. But I understood this program would automatically fill in usernames and passwords. Not so. On many bank and credit card sites it gets hung up and is no faster than cut and pasting your password from, say, a secure excel sheet. This is true for sites where the userid is on a different page from the one on which you enter your password - i.e., lots of them, and they are among the most important. So if you are logging onto Amazon or Twitter or Facebook or Netflix or any of the other popular sites it works great. If you are trying to use this for business to sign onto bank accounts, credit cards and the like, it does not work the same way. Fair warning. - Looking back, I am the only one not to give five stars on this version. That worries me that I might be in error. I have tried repeatedly to get this program to work on bank sites, but it does not. If I am in error, I apologize and will fix this review asap.

Hi

Shut up and take my money!!!

Disappointing!

I have used this app as my main password app for over 5 years. Despite occasioanlly having major problems with it, I stayed a loyal customer because the developers provided excellent support to resolve my issues, and provided timely updates. As the app became very popular, now the developers came up with new ways to make money, and I cannot fault them for this as no one works for free and there has been no way for making a living in the previous app store business model. The problem I have with this app now is the requirement to “authorize” the browser extension, something that was unnecessary prior to the last couple of updates. I read reviews from other customers that had the same concerns. The developers have a page on troubleshooting authorization, but provided no explanation to why this is, all of a sudden, necessary for my “security”. Ihave removed the extension from my browser, and reinstalled after this latest update and found out that it still asks for “authorization” so I uninstalled it again. If this does not change, I will be moving to another password app that I feel more comfortable with.

Best Ever

One of the few aps that really lives up to its billing and hype. iPhone, iPad and Desktop aps are fantastic. I seriously couldn’t live online without this ap.

This is it.

If you’re serious about a password manager across all devices, this is it.

Do one thing well

Does what it is supposed to do well and has great support.

Love this Joint

I appreciate the ability store my passwords and notes securely and only have to remember one password. I love the browser flexibility of this products as I tend to back and forth between Chrome and Safari.

Great Password Manager

I’ve been using 1Password Pro for may years. My wife and I have it installed on our Macs, iPads and iPhones. I think the “authorization” noted by a prior reviewer is a new requirement of MacOS and not a requirement of 1Password. I received the same popup required authorization on my antivirus extension for Safari. From a security perspective it makes sense for users to authorize browser extensions to avoid malware extensions that might get added without our knowledge. I have over 400 entries in my password vault and simply could not operate in today’s world without a good password vault like 1Password. I sync my vault through iCloud to all of my devices so I have my passwords up to date on all of my devices. My wife and I share password vaults. I know 1Password offers some really good functionality for this now, but I just occasionally sync one of her devices with my MacBook to keep our two iCloud based vaults in sync. I recommend 1Password to anyone who uses computers.

Long Time User Finally Pays His Dues

OK AgileBits, here’s my payback for all your hard work. Since the early days of password utilities (before there were smart phones) it was clear some organization was needed for the sheer number of websites one visited. Shortly after that it was clear that unique passwords were going to be a requirement as well. After lengthy trials on other products that were quite good it was obvious that 1Password was the best. Now that there are multiple devices requiring access to passwords; cross platform integration is also a priority. Oh, and of course, when multiple family members need access Amazon or Netflix then it’s imparitive that families share some passwords but not all passwords. With these major items to consider 1Password went from my preferred application to the family’s necessity. So when I logon to my Microsoft account and a one-time password is needed, this can be done inside 1Password, another app isn’t needed. When I want to be sure the landing page for payment is really where it says, I have the assurance of seeing 1Password agrees that the URL matches what I’m expecting. Some of these things other password savers do but Agile’s execution is so much better. Get it for your family and provide yourself with a little more peace of mind.

Still the best password manager around.

Fast, easy syncing, and works on all my devices (even Windows desktop). I am loving the heck out of the Touch ID integration though. Unlocking with my fingerprint makes the friction of having to enter passwords almost 0.

Impressive

This app imported my information from KeepassX and I was off so fast. My wife loves using this application and it makes doing the bills so much easier. I still cannot believe how many people don’t use a password manager. I would say at least 80% of people don’t have one. Probably the best thing I’ve ever bought to this date is the 1Password app.

This is a scam

So while ago i paid 65$ for this app, and now they are charging me monthly to keep using it. To me THIS IS A SCAM, they didnt even notify me that i wont be able to use it anymore.

Top notch

This is a best in class password manager that is beautifully designed to work well in the Apple ecosystem while also supporting your Windows needs. It’s not the cheapest solution—you’ll need to license those platforms you use individually—but AgileBits is a trustworthy name that’s been in the business a long time. There is no required subscription. We use this on multiple Macs and iOS devices and synchronize solely through iCloud and Dropbox. Multiple password vaults are supported, so you can have your own secured set of passwords and a second shared vault for family accounts. Beyond basic password generation, storage, and entry, the identity and credit card features are equally useful to me. MacOS will now store credit card info, but doesn’t store the CVV code. Great for cards where I remember the CVV code, not very useful for those cards I use infrequently. And the identity information fills web forms correctly more often than the autofill provided by Safari. 1Password is just much better at figuring out what info goes into what fields across a wide variety of web forms. Major browsers are supported. The latest Mac features, like Touch ID, are supported. This is great software from an experienced, knowledgeable security software maker. This is one of my top recommendations for Mac and iOS software.

Indispensaible security vault

I have been using 1Password for only a year but have 131 entries already. It isn’t just for web page logins and credit card info but for any data and files to be kept secure with quick access such as licenses and passports. 1Password is installed on my Macbook, iPad and iPhones. I selected 1Password as my data security vault in order to easily access my secure data anywhere needed without using cloud storage. 1Password does not require cloud storage to share vaults across devices. My primary vault is on a Macbook which is connected to our local SSID broadcast disabled router accessed using WPA2. When 1Password is opened on any of my connected devices they are synchronized with the Macbook vault automatically. Coincidentally, just before I purchased 1Password the cloud storage of the most popular security vault product of the day was hacked. 1Password securred data can be accessed anywhere when needed. The vaults can be exported and imported to devices that have 1Password installed and to devices that don’t have 1Passport. Vaults can be exported to encrypted external drives as xxx...1pif or xxx...csv files. .csv files can be read in a spreadsheet such as Apple Numbers and exported encrypted to .xlsx files - .csf file should be deleted. .xlsx data can be accessed using the encryption keys for the drive and the file, and a program that can read encrypted .xlsx files. Last but not least, it is very easy to use. I highly recommend 1Password.

An Essential!!

1Password is a must have. A little tricky and tedious at first, but now it is a habit and I can’t imagine tech life without it!! THANK YOU!!!

Solid and consistent

I have used 1Password for about 4 years. I seldom rate a product unless it’s either terrible or exceptional. 1Password is exceptional. Everyone once in awhile a changed password won’t update in the right field within 1Password, and I work around that by using their "copy and fill” feature, which allows me to ensure I capture it… it seems to be related to coding a password field on a “change password” page by the site I’m using and not an issue with 1Password. Other than that… - I no longer have about 3 or 4 passwords I shuffle around between sites - All my passwords are unique are very strong - If I get a notice from a site about an attempted fraudulent log in I am able to quickly and conveniently change all the passwrods I want - The feature to store secure non-password info, such as ID numbers, etc is a feature I use regularly - The passwords accessible on all my devices and I update seemlessly so I always have the most updated sites and passwords - The integration of the passwords on OSX is great. Ios requires an additional step, but very easy to manage ** - I was reading the latest features in an update. In the write up they mentioned that if you have time they would love to get feedback… they did not blow up my email, throw a pop up in their app or demand my attention for their benefit… they asked as part of the details in write ups I typically ignore. I Appreciate This More Than You Know!

New version has an annoying issue

I *LOVE* this app and use it all day, every day. But the newest version seems to take an unusually long amount of time to unlock. Whereas before it would unlock in about 1 second, Im seeing this new version take 20 seconds or more to unlock. This is each time the app is unlocked. I hope the dev team can address/fix this issue so that I can give this app the 5 stars it normally deserves.

Just BUY IT! I waited years – it was a mistake!

Best program ever. I know it’s kinda pricey, and I held off for years because of that – instead using open source password managers. Learn from my foolish mistake. Buy this program! Use it! It is awesome. Get it for your phone too! LITERALLY THE BEST APP EVER MADE. </rant>
